weekend is too short
Crazy how I’m now 6 weeks into this “work from home” deal. This is by far the longest continuous time I’ve been home since I was last staffed on a local project. Very odd.
It’s weird that I’m thinking that my weekends seem shorter than when I was traveling. The way that I’m seeing time and days pass seems to be different as well. It’s just a big blur as opposed to having things broken down and structured. And with working from home, I think that’s just taking up more time during the day/week than usual. I like to have everything compartmentalized and broken out but been pushed to look at my days/weeks differently. I was ok with the short term change but really having to assess and address with this being more of a longer term change (which I knew, but didn’t think it would be an issue even with the extended change).
Currently watching: The Newsroom via Amazon Prime - This is something I watched years ago when it first came back and actually one where I became a big fan of Jeff Daniels. I think all his other roles had been more aligned to comedy. And the writing is quick/witty and just fast. You really have to be paying attention to the dialog.
Currently listening: Just have more hip hop jazz streaming in the background (while I work). One of the things I’ll be looking to do more once things are lifted is to check out more jazz shows and relax to the music. And concerts… I’ve found a bunch of new artists through Apple and Spotify’s weekly discoveries/mixes. They’ve both been spot on where I’ve unintentionally been swaying to the music.
Currently reading: Moonwalking with Einstein by Joshua Foer - Not much progress here and been more focused on “easy reading” the news instead.
