Big news yesterday (non-rona related) was Bernie dropping out so it looks like we’ll have our two candidates for this coming election. So many comments can be made for both sides of the party but for now I’ll just observe. It is a game that people are playing and stubborn individuals on their respective sides of the table. But at this point in time, I don’t know of a better way to approach the situation and don’t want to pile onto the current mess out there. It’s something that’s always been in/on my mind but not sure what to do at this point in time.
In other news, switched up my cadence slightly so that I’m listening to my podcasts shortly after getting up. Upped the speed to 3x and finally able to catch everything - just have to be super attentive while listening. And then doing 10 minutes of meditation before jumping into my bulletjournal and writing. Pretty happy with that so far and will look to keep that cadence up. And then potentially look to incorporating one thing every few weeks as appropriate (e.g., start walking after finishing up with writing).
Currently watching: Survivor - Winners at War - Somehow got sucked into this after not watching for 38 seasons. Something about social psychology and behavior. Granted this is a game, but this gets straight to the point on what we experience firsthand in our day-to-day passings. Odd how I enjoy watching this type of politics but not when it’s related to the government.
Currently listening: Electric Replay on Apple - I started looking into creating shortcuts and one of the things I found was to set your iPad/iPhone into “read mode” so that you get into the right mood and not get interrupted. With it being an Apple application, it “forced” me back to Apple Music and ended up finding this (and a few other) playlists. And yes, this is the music I listen to when I’m trying to concentrate.
Currently reading: Moonwalking with Einstein by Joshua Foer - I’m 4 chapters in now covering the different types of extreme “memory people” out there. I haven’t gotten into any of the true methods of memorization yet (more commentary on how other approached based on individuals author met) but so far my quick take-always are to “group/bunch” data together to make it easier to remember/recognize and to visualize whatever I’m trying to remembers. Looking forward to building my skills here.
